Edinburgh's Paralympic cauldron lit - and extinguished
A cauldron on the Mound in Edinburgh has been lit as part of the Paralympic Games torch relay.
However, it then had to be extinguished because of fears it might damage a Paralymic logo.
Rosie Smith, from Glasgow, lit the cauldron in recognition of her efforts conquering the UK's highest peak, Ben Nevis.
She told the BBC's Colin Blane that it had been "an absolute honour".
