Cameron: 2012 brought 'a golden summer' for Britain

The Prime Minister David Cameron has spoken from Downing Street ahead of the London 2012 victory parade.

Surrounded by Olympic and Paralympic volunteers and Games Makers, Cameron said that it had been a golden summer for British sport and a golden summer for the country and had brought the country together.

The prime minister also said that "2012 will be like 1966" and that the memories would "continue to delight us" for years to come.
