South Yorkshire Police's Hillsborough apology
David Crompton, current chief constable of South Yorkshire Police, has apologised to both the families of the 96 Hillsborough victims and Liverpool fans in general.
Mr Crompton said he had been "shocked" by the findings of the independent report into previously unseen documents about the tragedy and offered "profound apologies".
The Prime Minister David Cameron has said police had failed to do enough and had also tried to blame Liverpool fans.
Ninety-six fans died after a crush at Sheffield Wednesday's ground in 1989.
