Concerns as new police air service takes flight

As the National Police Air Service begins operations in England and Wales, critics have voiced concerns over the scheme to co-ordinate helicopter cover while cutting costs.

Some police crew members claim the changes will endanger lives as it will take them longer to respond to incidents but the government denies this.
