Jimmy Savile abuse claims: Broadmoor role investigated

The Department of Health will investigate its decision to appoint Jimmy Savile as head of a taskforce overseeing Broadmoor hospital in 1988.

Former patients say they were assaulted by the presenter during his visits to the psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.

Police say they are following more than 300 lines of inquiry, while the BBC has announced two inquiries into the scandal.

Nick Higham reports.
