Military lobbying claims to be investigated

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond says reports of retired military officials offering to use their influence with ministers on behalf or arms firms are "deeply damaging".

The Ministry of Defence says it is investigating whether any rules were broken after several former defence leaders were secretly filmed by the Sunday Times, saying they could help companies secure contracts.

The paper says all the officers involved deny any wrongdoing.
