NSPCC: Jimmy Savile case leads to more reports of abuse

Charities working with people who have been sexually abused say they have seen an increase in the number of victims calling their helplines.

After the publicity around Sir Jimmy Savile, callers are reporting abuse inflicted many years ago, they say.

John Cameron, head of child protection at the NSPCC, said it has received more than 150 calls relating to allegations against Jimmy Savile alone.
