BBC chairman Lord Patten seeks Savile probe 'truth'
The chairman of the BBC Trust, Lord Patten, has expressed his determination to get to the bottom of the sexual abuse scandal involving Jimmy Savile.
Writing in the Mail On Sunday, he says the corporation's reputation is on the line and it must face up to the truth.
Lord Patten apologises to women who told Newsnight of abuse they suffered but did not have their stories told.
