X Factor judge Louis Walsh paid damages for Sun sex slurs

Louis Walsh remains 'very angry' despite being awarded 500,000 euros by the High Court in Dublin for a defamatory story about him in The Irish Sun newspaper.

The paper admitted falsely alleging the X Factor judge had sexually assaulted a man in a Dublin nightclub but denied the piece was defamatory.

Speaking outside court, the band manager said this has had "a terrible effect" but was "totally satisfied with this complete vindication for me".
