Hillsborough families on High Court inquest decision
The High Court has quashed inquest verdicts on the 96 victims of the Hillsborough Stadium disaster in 1989.
The original inquest verdicts angered many of the bereaved families who were told at the 1990 hearing that all victims were fatally injured by 15:15 on the afternoon of the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.
But among the Hillsborough Independent Panel findings published in September was the revelation that 41 fans probably lived beyond that time.
Speaking outside the High Court in London, Trevor Hicks, President of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, who lost two daughters in the tragedy, said it is clear now that justice is on its way.
