Inquest into death of Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux begins

An inquest has opened into the death of a Royal Navy officer shot in the head aboard HMS Astute in April 2011.

Lieutenant Commander Ian Molyneux tried to tackle a colleague who went on a rampage while the nuclear-powered submarine was docked at Southampton. He was posthumously awarded the George Medal for his bravery.
