Tesco to start DNA testing on all meat products

Tesco has stopped using one of its suppliers and says it will conduct DNA testing on all of its meat products.

Two weeks ago an investigation by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland found horse meat in some of the frozen burgers sold by the supermarket chain.

Appearing before a committee of MPs, Tesco's group technical director, Tim Smith, said the company will be changing the way it operates to make sure nothing like this happens again.
