Raymond Blanc joins Boris Johnson's apprentice campaign

Two Michelin star chef Raymond Blanc and Mayor Boris Johnson have launched an apprenticeship scheme to get more youngsters working in London's food and hospitality sector.

The campaign, aimed at combating youth unemployment, is seeking to create 250,000 new apprentices in the capital.

With a growing rates of youth unemployment Mr Blanc wants the jobless to think about a cooking career.

The BBC's Jon Sopel spoke to Raymond Blanc about the campaign itself, his passion for food and the Mayors cooking abilities.
