Travel chaos: Aerial footage of snow-hit areas

Heavy snow has been causing travel problems after hundreds of drivers were stranded in their cars overnight in southern England.

Sussex Police dealt with more than 300 collisions across the county in 24 hours, with drivers spending the night on the M23 in Sussex and A23 in Kent.

In Sussex tailbacks of up to 15 miles were reported on the A23 between Crawley and Brighton, with some motorists stuck for up to eight hours, with many abandoning their cars.

Tulip Mazumdar reports from the A23.
