Soldier's mother: 'I didn't want my son to die'
Carol Jones's son Sergeant John Jones was killed in Basra in 2005 - one of 179 British servicemen to lose their lives in the Iraq campaign since it started 10 years ago.
For several years after the war ended, Carol campaigned with the Royal British Legion to bring back to the UK the Basra memorial wall, which was first erected by soldiers in Basra to commemorate each of the fallen with an individual plaque.
Today it stands at the National Memorial Arboretum in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
Carol often visits to remember her son and the other servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq.
