Honours soldier 'quite comfortable' defusing bombs

A soldier whose job defusing roadside bombs has earned him the Queen's Gallantry Medal says he feels "quite comfortable" walking into each situation.

He is among the 118 members of the armed forces recognised in the latest military honours announced at Sandhurst on Thursday.

Sergeant David Acarnley, who has been awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal, told the BBC it was "a product of a lot of years of training... The sort of exposure in training makes you feel quite comfortable."
