Boris Berezovsky death: 'He'd burnt bridges with Putin'

A former Scotland Yard Commander who worked with Boris Berezovsky has said reports the Russian recently wrote a letter of apology to Vladamir Putin "aren't very credible".

On Saturday a Kremlin spokesman said that Mr Berezovsky had recently contacted Mr Putin, saying he wanted to go home.

But John O'Connor said: "There was absolutely no chance of Berezovsky having any form of rapprochement with Putin. He'd burnt his bridges completely."
