Knox retrial: Questions to answer, says Meredith Kercher's sister

The family of murdered student Meredith Kercher has welcomed a decision by Italy's top court to overturn the acquittals of Amanda Knox and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito for her 2007 killing.

The pair spent four years in jail for Miss Kercher's 2007 murder, but were freed on appeal in 2011 largely on the grounds DNA evidence was flawed.

Miss Knox said the news was "painful".

However, speaking to BBC News from her home in Surrey, Miss Kercher's sister Stephanie said the decision was "a step forward" to ensuring "the right people were convicted"
