Subculture hate crime change will make 'vast difference'
Greater Manchester Police has become the first force in the UK to record hate crimes against groups such as goths and punks.
Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan told the BBC why the force decided to classify crimes this way and how he hopes other forces will follow suit.
Sylvia Lancaster, who has campaigned tirelessly after her daughter Sophie was killed for being a goth in 2007, says the move will make a "vast difference".
