BBC says 'only North Korean government deceived'

Students from the LSE were warned in advance and advised of the risks of travelling to North Korea with an undercover journalist in their party, the BBC says.

John Sweeney, his wife and a cameraman travelled with the group posing as members of the university tour party.

BBC News head of programmes Ceri Thomas denied the corporation had used the students, saying the only people deceived "were the North Korean government."
