BBC 'should not have let LSE students decide on risk' in North Korea

The BBC has refused to drop a Panorama programme on North Korea after a students' union said it used students "as a human shield" to film there.

Sean Langan is a British journalist and documentary film-maker, who has worked in dangerous and volatile countries. Among other things, he has been kidnapped by the Taliban in Afghanistan, and has gone to film in Zimbabwe under cover.

He says that journalists should not put others at risk no matter how important the story is.
