Rolf Harris questioned in Operation Yewtree sex offences inquiry

Rolf Harris has been named by The Sun as the entertainer arrested and bailed in March as part of an inquiry into historical allegations of sexual offences.

The 83-year-old TV presenter and entertainer was questioned by detectives from the Operation Yewtree inquiry, which was set up following the Jimmy Savile scandal, although his arrest is unrelated to the former BBC DJ.

Mr Harris was first interviewed under caution in November 2012, then arrested and bailed in March 2013. He has not been charged with any offence.

Media organisations were aware of Mr Harris's name in November but chose not to identify him.
