Salmond pays tribute to soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, has expressed his regret at the deaths of three soldiers from the Royal Highland Fusiliers, the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland in Afghanistan.

They died after their armoured vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in Helmand.

Next of kin have been informed.

Six other soldiers were also injured in the bomb blast on Tuesday.
