Dambusters flypast commemorates 70th anniversary
A Lancaster bomber and Spitfire, accompanied by two Tornadoes, have taken part in a flypast over Derwent reservoir to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters raids.
The reservoir was one of the sites where pilots practised dangerous low-flying ahead of their mission 70 years ago.
More than a third of the men never returned from the raids, which required them to fly only 60 feet above ground, and only one of the 133 pilots - 96-year-old Les Munro - is still alive.
