Syria conflict: Cameron urges 'focus on common ground'

Britain and Russia must "focus on common ground" in order to work towards a resolution on the Syrian conflict, the UK prime minister has said.

Speaking after talks in Downing Street, Mr Cameron said it was clear that the two nations had "very big differences between [their] analyses of what happened in Syria and who was to blame" but that both sides saw "a humanitarian catastrophe" in the region.

Mr Cameron said the talks on Sunday represented "another positive step" towards agreeing future action.
