Sexting: She didn't know what she was doing

The NSPCC is reporting a growing number of parents turning to the police concerned about sexting in schools - when children as young as 12 get caught up with sending nude or semi-nude images of themselves by text.

Schools are not keen to criminalise such young children but want the the tension to be resolved.

The Today programme's Nicola Stanbridge reports that one method being tried in New York could hold out an answer.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 25 June 2013.
