Backing for wider use of 'Booze bracelet' scheme

Alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelets, known as "booze bracelets" have been used in child protection cases where alcohol dependency has been an issue.

They are used extensively in America, and have been tried out at the Family Drug and Alcohol Court in London.

One of the UK's leading family court judges, Judge Nicholas Crichton, says they give a court more confidence that a parent has stopped drinking.
