Why England's canoeists want greater river access

BBC reporter David Bailey took a trip in a canoe to explore why some paddlers and anglers have come to blows over the right to use our rivers.

The argument is between canoeists, who want to paddle anywhere they like, and landowners and anglers, who say they cannot.

Canoeists want "permission to paddle" in the same way ramblers have a "right to roam".
