London grass fires increase as temperatures stay high

Firefighters are dealing with a grass fire on Mitcham Common in London as the capital basks in temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius.

According to the London Fire Brigade's twitter feed, the service is dealing with more than 20 such grass fires every day in the heatwave.
