Twitter to look at abuse reporting

The social networking site Twitter has responded to calls for tougher action to deal with abusive messages.

It says it is looking at introducing a button within every tweet for reporting threats.

The action is in response to the abuse directed at Caroline Criado Perez, who had been campaigning for more women to be featured on British banknotes.

A Labour MP who supported her has also received dozens of threatening tweets.

Reeta Chakrabarti reports.
