Jeremy Hunt: NHS must reform to survive

The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has told a national newspaper that doctors need to change the way they work, if the NHS is to survive in the future.

Mr Hunt said he wanted to see a seven-day NHS, which would give hospital patients the same quality of care at weekends.

Doctors are being told they need to provide better out of hours care for patients.

Jon Ironmonger reports.
