Former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has been charged with 11 counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

It follows an investigation by detectives from Operation Yewtree, the inquiry set up by Scotland Yard after the Jimmy Savile scandal.

The alleged offences cover a period of 30 years, ending in 2007.
