Doctor 'saw no signs of abuse' - NHS boss

The medical director at Daniel Pelka's NHS trust says the doctor who saw Daniel Pelka saw no signs of physical abuse when he examined him for low weight.

A serious case review found four-year-old Daniel was "invisible" at times and "no professional tried sufficiently hard enough" to talk to him.

Sharon Binyon, Medical Director of the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust said the doctor was "very experienced" and that he would have reached "a different conclusion", had Daniel not been murdered.
