Small British aid convoy heads for Syria despite the risks

Syria has been in a state of civil war for two and a half years and the UN estimates that more than 100,000 people have been killed.

Aid organisations say that parts of the country are so dangerous that civilians are being left without help, 22 Red Cross volunteers alone have been killed.

Despite these dangers small British aid convoys are making the journey overland to Syria in second-hand ambulances packed with aid.

BBC Asian Network and Newsnight reporter Catrin Nye travelled with a group of British Muslims on one of these convoys, taking more risks than most.
