The newly-crowned world memory champion has undertaken an unusual test of his skills - memorising the end credits of Newsnight in seven minutes.

Jonas Von Essen triumphed in the championships in Croydon, successfully completing a series of tasks including memorising playing cards and historic dates.

But could he perform under the steely gaze of Newsnight's Jeremy Paxman?
