UK storm: Evacuation plans under way in Norfolk

Thousands of people living in Great Yarmouth are being urged to leave their homes, as the Environment Agency warns of the worst coastal tidal surge in 60 years.

Nine-thousand properties in the town are being visited by police.

A storm surge is expected at high tide, at 22:45 GMT, and respite centres have been opened in schools.

Speaking at a news conference, Supt Roger Wiltshire, of Norfolk Police said it was anticipated disruption was likely to last for 36 hours.
