UK airport issues: Pilot apologises for flight delay

Footage of a pilot apologising to passengers on board a delayed flight bound for Berlin has emerged as flights across the UK and Ireland are disrupted because of an air traffic control centre fault.

The pilot explains to passengers the reason for the "unknown delay" is due to a problem with the automatic telephone system which co-ordinates the traffic between Europe and the UK.
