Caroline Criado-Perez: 'I hope Twitter abusers will think twice'

Two people have pleaded guilty to sending "menacing" tweets to feminist campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez after she campaigned for Jane Austen to appear on the new £10 note.

Isabella Sorley, 23, of Newcastle, and John Nimmo, 25, of South Shields, admitted sending the messages over a public communications network.

They will be sentenced on 24 January.

Caroline Criado-Perez said she hoped the case would make potential abusers ''think twice'' and that women who are suffering from abuse, would see the point in reporting it.
