Norfolk helicopter crash: Pave Hawk pilot on safety record

An investigation has been launched into what caused a US Air Force helicopter to crash in Norfolk, killing all four people on board.

The HH-60G Pave Hawk, based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, came down at a nature reserve in Cley next the Sea on Tuesday night.

Rick Davis, a retired colonel for the US air force who spent seven years flying the aircraft, told the BBC: "The Pave Hawk may have the best safety record of any helicopter that the United States military has ever owned."
