Kercher family: 'US should support Knox extradition'

The family of murdered British student Meredith Kercher have said they expect the United States to support the extradition of Amanda Knox.

It comes after an Italian court reinstated the guilty verdicts against the 26-year-old American and her former partner Raffaele Sollecito.

Asked if Ms Knox should be brought back to Italy to serve a 28-year sentence, Lyle Kercher said: "Assuming the decision is upheld... yes. If someone is convicted of a crime they should serve that punishment."
