Floods victim 'evacuated to Thorpe Park'

Parts of the UK are again facing flooding as forecasters warn a further band of stormy weather later could mean the strongest winds of the winter.

The Today programme's Tom Bateman has visited an emergency centre in the village of New Haw, Surrey, set up to cope with those that have had to leave their homes.

One local resident described how she was evacuated to Thorpe Park by firefighters, before being taken to New Haw.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 12 February.
