Minimum wage 'could' rise to £7 per hour

The minimum wage was introduced 15 years ago, with the aim of helping keep the lowest paid workers out of extreme poverty.

But now the man who designed the policy says it is no longer enough.

Sir George Bain calls for a rethink of the idea in a report for research organisation The Resolution Foundation, which works to improve living standards for people on low-incomes.
