Nato chief: Insecurity is more expensive than defence
Politicians from Nato's member states will "rethink" their investment in security and defence in the light of the Ukraine crisis, according to Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Speaking the Today programme's Justin Webb, Mr Rasmussen said no one should doubt Nato's "determination and resolve" with regard to defending its member states.
He described recent events as a Russian "invasion" of Ukraine, and said the crisis in Crimea should be solved through diplomatic channels.
