The Great Escape was an 'audacious event'

One of the few remaining survivors of a German prisoner of war camp, immortalised in the film The Great Escape, has been speaking to the BBC ahead of a ceremony to mark the escape.

Air Commodore Charles Clarke, who was a prisoner at Stalag Luft III, said it was an "audacious event" and an "important part of RAF history".
