Same-sex marriage 'self-centred', says religious group

Same-sex marriage, which became legal in England and Wales at midnight, is "self-centred", according to one religious group.

Politicians from the main parties have hailed the change in the law, however some groups remain opposed.

Andrea Williams, chief executive of Christian Concern said: "We can't just redefine an institution... because we say it's something that we want."
