Sinn Féin hold Gerry Adams solidarity rally in Belfast

Sinn Féin members have gathered to hear Northern Ireland's deputy first minister speak in defence of Gerry Adams, who has been arrested in connection with the 1972 murder of Jean McConville.

Martin McGuinness claimed the Sinn Féin leader's detention was "inextricably linked" with the May European elections.

Police in Northern Ireland have until 20:00 BST on Sunday to either charge or release Mr Adams.
