Best and worst of times for veterans on D-Day anniversary

Almost 2,000 veterans have been attending the main commemoration event marking the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France.

Some of those who survived have returned to these beaches many times; while for others, it is the first time they have been back in 70 years.
