Hague: 'No British military intervention in Iraq'

The Foreign Secretary William Hague has told the BBC the Iraqi government must deal with militant unrest and violence in the country and Britain would not intervene militarily.

Islamist militants have overrun over large swathes of Iraq and have said they will take the fight to the capital Baghdad.

On Wednesday the al-Qaeda-linked group ISIS consolidated its hold on Mosul and took Tikrit.
