Revenge porn: 'Law should tackle host sites'

Websites should be compelled by law to remove so-called "revenge porn" images, an internet safety expert has claimed.

It comes as ministers debate how to tackle the practice, which involves people posting naked pictures of ex-partners online to humiliate them.

Laura Higgins, of the UK Safer Internet Centre, said prosecuting people for uploading the images was not enough to stop them spreading online.

She told BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire: "What they actually want is just to have the content taken away... What we don't have at the moment is the power to demand that."
