Paedophile arrests unprecedented, says Internet Watch Foundation

More than 650 suspected paedophiles have been arrested as part of a six-month operation targeting people who accessed child abuse images online.

The National Crime Agency said the 660 arrested included doctors, teachers, scout leaders, care workers and former police officers.

Susie Hargreaves, chief executive of the Internet Watch Foundation said the arrests were "unprecedented".
